Mrs. Virginia “Ginny Cake” Bonner Green, 83, a resident of Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home, Washington, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Spring Garden Missionary Baptist Church, Washington, with the Rev. Dr. E.R. McNair officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mrs. Green was born in Wayne County on Nov., 8, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Holland Moore Bonner and William F. Bonner. She was daughter-in-kind of the late Mary Perry Keyes. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. On Sept. 30, 1946, she married Thomas Green Jr., who preceded her in death May 10, 1992. She had been employed with the former Washington Cleaners and Laundry. She attended St. Paul’s, St. John and Spring Garden churches.
Survivors include one daughter, Rosa Lee Green-Northern of Washington and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Rosa and Johnnie Northern, 915 Van Norden St., Washington.
Viewing will take place today from 1-7 p.m. at Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
