Mrs. Hattie Mae Moore Dority, 85, formerly of Blounts Creek, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Britthaven of Washington.
She was cremated per her request.
Mrs. Dority was born in Cross, S.C., on April 22, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Adam E. Moore Sr. and Effie Emaline Mizell Moore. She was married to Ralph Dority, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Clenon H. Grooms and John C. Grooms Sr., both of Washington; one brother, Adam E. Moore Jr. of James Island, S.C.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
