Mr. Jesse Leonard Tetterton, Jr., age 41, a resident of 401 Harvey Road, died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at his home.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2008 at the family plot in Pamlico Memorial Gardens with Tony Krantz officiating. Andy Carrow, Randall Moore, Bradford Flowers, Pack Hindsley, Kenny Keech, and Brandon Keech will serve as pallbearers.
Chubby Woolard, D. R. Alligood, and Preston Cutler, Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Tetterton was born in Beaufort County on May 6, 1967 to Jesse and Sallie Tetterton. He was a lifelong resident of Beaufort County and attended Bath High School.
He is survived by his parents; his wife, Heather Hindsley Tetterton; his children, Jesse Ray Tetterton, Tia Tetterton, Tiffany Tetterton, Michael and Matthew Goldberg, and Austin Lee Riggan, all of Washington; three step-children, Josie, Sierra and Lee Winstead, all of Washington; one brother, Carlous Tetterton and his wife, Jennifer of Washington; and one sister, Hallie Marie Teaney and her husband, Mark of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claud and Eve Carrow and Clyde and Lillian Tetterton.
Mr. Tetterton, with his wife Heather, was owner and operator of J &H Construction Company and Tetterton Properties. He worked as a residential contractor, building designer, and supervisor in New Bern, Greenville and Washington. He also worked in commercial construction throughout eastern North Carolina. He was an adoring husband and loving father to all his children. He was loved dearly by all his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Hillside Funeral Service, Washington and after the service at the family’s home.
