Mrs. Patsy Godley Gardner, 64, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, in Chesapeake, Va.
The graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenville.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville.
Mrs. Gardner was born in Beaufort County. She attended Chocowinity schools and graduated from Chocowinity High School as part of the class of 1962. Following her marriage to Robert Gardner, she relocated to Chesapeake, Va. in 1967, where they raised their family. She was a member of Geneva Park Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert M. Gardner Sr; a son, Robert M. Gardner Jr. of Currituck; a brother, Rupert Godley of Chocowinity; two sisters, Billie Morgan of Bath and Bettie Jean Carrow of Chocowinity; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
