Mrs. Catherine “Cathy” Forrest Leary, 53, of 5963 U.S. Highway 17 South, Chocowinity, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Paul Funeral Home, Washington with pastor Robert Worthington officiating.
Mrs. Leary was born in Pitt County on April 18, 1955. She was the daughter of Pattie Webb Woolard of Chocowinity and the late James Benjamin Forrest. She attended the Craven County Schools. She was employed as a cook at Slatestone Grocery. She attended West Vanceboro Church of God.
Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Wiggins Stephens of Kinston; one son, Gregory Conner Leary of Ernul; three sisters, Yvonne Andrews and Elaine Scott, both of Vanceboro, and Barbara Ann Forrest of Bristol, Tenn.; three brothers, Jerry Anderson of Vanceboro, Mike Anderson of Chocowinity and James Forrest of Farmville and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the funeral service until 9 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home, Washington, and other times at the home of her mother, 5963 U.S. Highway 17 South, Chocowinity.
