Mr. James Wilbur “Bud” Bland Jr., 43, of 1713 Cratt Road, Williamston, died Friday, August 1, 2008 at his home.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 at Rehoboth Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Revs. Rubin Batchlor and Sammy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bland was born in Martin County on Dec. 11, 1964. He was the son of James Wilber Bland Sr. and Joan Scott Bland of Bear Grass. He was a 1983 graduate of Bear Grass High School. He worked as a truck driver with Brent Roberson Construction.
Survivors include three sons, James Wilber “Tripp” Bland II of Williamston, Trevar J. Bland of Roper and Jonathan R. Bland of Kinston; one sister, Tressy Webb and husband Steve of Bear Grass; one nephew, Scotty Webb of Bear Grass; and one niece, Jamie Webb of Bear Grass.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at 1375 Cratt Road.
