Mrs. Virginia Gray Poperville Quick died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at Rose Manor Nursing Home in Durham.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Quick was born in Beaufort County on Sept. 2, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Ara and Tom Poperville. She attended the local schools. She had been a resident of Durham for 20 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruby Jo Cutler of Blounts Creek and Debbie Wertz of Silver Springs, Md.; one son, James Michael Parsons of Owens Mills, Md.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
