Mr. William Franklin Alligood, age 67, a resident of 1850 Old Bath Hwy. Washington, NC died at his home.
A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday August 6, 2008 at Asbury United Methodist Church of Washington officiated by Rev. Carolyne Pilgrim. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. George Whitaker, Dean Watson, David Richards, Bill Lurvey, Kevin Rutledge and Allen Dixon will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Erwin Meier and Ray Gurganus.
Mr. Alligood was born in Beaufort County on January 6, 1941 son of the late Charlie Boyd Alligood and the late Myrtle Flynn Alligood. He worked at National Spinning and then retired as a tester at Stanadyne Corporation in 2003. Mr. Alligood was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son: Keith Alligood and his wife Tina of Washington; a brother: Michael Alligood and his wife Jane of Washington; a granddaughter: Katelyn Alligood; and a niece: Elizabeth Williams and her husband David of Holly Springs.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Paul Funeral Home of Washington.
