Mr. John Thomas Harrington of 106 Braxton Ave., Windsor, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in Kelford Baptist Church in Kelford.
Mr. Harrington was the son of Jake Harrington of Durham and the late Doris Delbridge Harrington. He was a Navy veteran. He was married to Barbara Lewis Harrington, who survives. He had recently retired from Sears with 30 years of service. He was a member of Kelford Baptist Church in Kelford.
Survivors include one daughter, Rennie Harrington Jones of Edenton; one son, Carl Harrington of Raleigh; his stepmother, Betty Harrington of Durham; and three sisters, Linda Norcross of Lewiston, Bernice Harden of Mount Gould and Denise Hoggard of Windsor.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Harrington.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor, and other times at the home.
