Mrs. Irene B. Cherry, 83, of Windsor, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at her home in High Point.
A graveside service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the family plot in Edgewood Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Cox officiating.
Mrs. Cherry was born in Bertie County on Feb. 6, 1925. She was married to Haywood Cherry Jr., who preceded her in death. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church, Windsor.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Cherry Miller of High Point; two grandchildren; two sisters, Bettie Sue Mizelle and Dolly Perry of Windsor and one brother, Kenneth Butler of Melbourne, Fla.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elaine Davis Hoggard and one sister, Virginia Todd.
The family will receive friends Wednesday immediately following the graveside service in the fellowship hall of Siloam Baptist Church.
