Mrs. Rosalee Congleton Brooks

Mrs. Rosalee Congleton Brooks, age 73, a resident of 18956 Highway 264 East, Pinetown, NC died Thursday morning August 14, 2008 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday August 16, 2008 at Free Union Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Woodrow Freeze. Burial will follow in Yeatesville Cemetery. George Tetterton, Kevin Richardson, Ray Hodges, Joe Pilgreen, John Brooks and David Burbage, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Larry Linton and Sammy Robbins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Beaufort County on March 15, 1935 to the late William Congleton and Olivia Jefferson Congleton. On June 26, 1955, she married Claudie Benjamin Brooks who survives. She was employed as secretary/office manager of Clark-Ford in Belhaven. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Rosemary Church of Christ and the Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband, Claudie of the home, she is survived by her son: Claudie Benjamin “Benjie” Brooks, Jr. of Pinetown and her daughter: Michele Brooks Woolard of Washington; four grandchildren: Benjamin Royce Woolard of Pinetown, Benjamin Bowen Brooks of Bath, Shana Woolard of Chocowinity and Zack Woolard of Washington; and her sister, Dorothy Somerville of Washington.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Free Union Free Will Baptist Church and other times at the home.
