GREENVILLE- Mrs. Nina Ruth Oakley Burroughs, 78, passed away Saturday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Pinewood Memorial Park with the Rev. Jeff Manning officiating.
Mrs. Burroughs was a native and lifelong resident of Pitt County. She was a proud and accomplished homemaker and assisted her husband with farming.
Mrs. Burroughs was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Burroughs in 2000.
She is survived three daughters, Linda B. Webb of Blounts Creek, Betty B. Bonner of Edward, and Cathy B. Smith of Greenville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
