Mrs. Lottie May Stanley Champ, 73, of 582 Mill Pond Road, Roper, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Walker Funeral Home-Horner Chapel in Plymouth with the Revs. Dennis Barber and Donald Conway officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Champ was born in Giels County, Virginia, on Oct. 9, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Dan and Stella Small Stanley. She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Beginning Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Marzella Beacham of Jamesville, Minnie Micchelli and Lisa Furlough, both of Plymouth, Patty Congleton of Peterburg, Va., and Samantha Champ of Roper; one son, Edward Lee Champ Jr. of Roper; two sisters, Marzella Smith of Greenville and Emma Wells of Clarksville, Va.; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Kenny Henry Champ.
The family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home-Horner Chapel in Plymouth and other times at the home.
