Mrs. Ruth Arlean White Warren, 92, formerly of 1380 Ball Road, Washington, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at the home of her granddaughter.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Walker Funeral Home chapel in Windsor with Eddie Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Warren was born in Bertie County on Dec. 14, 1915, to the late Alfred B. and Pearl Leary White. She was preceded in death by Willie Hyman Warren. She was previously employed with Melvin’s Drive-In in Scotland Neck as a waitress and Roses as a clerk. She was a Sunday school teacher and member of Republican Baptist Church in Windsor.
Survivors include three sons, William R. Warren of Macclesfield, Earl Warren of Washington and Speedy Warren of Norfolk, Va.; one daughter, Merle W. Early of Virginia Beach, Va.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home in Windsor and other times at the home of her son, Earl Warren, 1032 Ball Road, Washington.
