Mrs. Mary Parker Harris, 87, of Greenville, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Parker Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Harris was a native of Greene County, but had lived most of her life in Pitt County. She attended Pactolus High School and worked for a number of years for Trinity School Daycare School. She was married to Edgar Earl Harris, who survives. She was a member of Parker Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Jean Teeter of High Point, Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Wainwright of Ayden, Dolly Ann Stox and Brenda Faye Harris, both of Greenville, and Gay Sutton of Moyock; 13 grandchilden; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Margaret Burchett and Dorothy Lightbody, both of Portsmouth, Va.
The family will receive friends today from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville.
