Mrs. Nevada Campbell Moore, 49, of 7742 U.S. Highway 17 North, Washington, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Deeper Life Ministries, Washington, with the Rev. David Moore Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the George-Nevada Cemetery, 7742 U.S. Highway 17 North, Washington.
Mrs. Moore was born in Washington, D.C., on July 31, 1959. She was the daughter of Mary Staten Campbell and the late Sylvester G. Campbell. She earned her GED from Armstrong High School in Washington, D.C. She did further studies at Beaufort County Community College in Washington, where she received a NSAI certification. On June 24, 2000, she married George Wesley Moore Sr., who preceded her in death April 24, 2008. Her employment was as a nursing assistant with The Shepard’s Joy Inc. She also was employed 20 plus years with National Spinning Co.
Survivors include one daughter, Zenika Moore of Washington; two stepdaughters, Katrina Williams of Raleigh and Tisishia Skinner of Grimesland; two sons, Michael Morris and William Morris, both of Washington; one stepson, George W. Moore Jr. of Washington; four sisters, Sheila Nobles, Mary Shepard and Mary Horton, all of Vanceboro and Abigail Phillips of Greenville; three brothers, Jarvis Campbell of Aurora, Tony Campbell of Vanceboro and Brain Campbell of Beaumont, Texas; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the home.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
