Mr. Jeffrey Charles Seaton, 21, of 4172 Fort Branch Road, Oak City, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, as the result of an automobile accident.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Williamston. Burial will follow at Hamilton Cemetery.
Mr. Seaton was born in Woodbridge, Va., on Sept. 10, 1987, to Gregory Paul Seaton and Susan Seaton Taylor. He was an electrician with Wayne Griffin Electrical. Mr. Seaton graduated from Colonial Forge High School in Stafford, Va., and attended NASCAR Tech Institute and Griffin Electrical Trade School in Raleigh. He played in several baseball All Star Leagues. He was inducted into the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.
Survivors include his parents, Gregory Paul and Ronda Leah Seaton of Oak City; his mother, Susan Carol Taylor of Stafford, Va.; a step brother, Phillip Michael Taylor of Spotsylvania, Va.; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Victoria Bland of Mineral, Va., and Virginia Powell and James Martin of Ponce Inlet, Fla., and paternal grandparents, William and Evelyn Seaton of Woodbridge, Va.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home and at other times at the home, 4172 Fort Branch Road, Oak City.
In lieu of flowers the family requests perennials or to make a contribution to his horse “Mooney,” care of BB&T, Williamston, NC 27892 RE: Jeffrey C. Seaton.
