Mrs. Ann Mitchell Hamilton, 87, a resident of The Chesapeake in Newport News, Virginia, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008.
Mrs. Hamilton was a former resident of Bristol, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Mary Lee and Baker Mitchell. She was a retired secretary for the Bristol Virginia School system.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Hamilton Harris and husband, Tommy of Washington, North Carolina, Cathy Hamilton Robertson and husband, Gary of Suffolk, Virginia, and Genie Hamilton Roper and husband, Hart of Richmond, Virginia. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Oscar Lee Hamilton, Jr., her grandson, Craig Mitchell Robertson, and her brother, Dr. Andrew Chrismon Mitchell.
The family is planning a memorial service in Bristol, Virginia during the holiday season.
