Mr. Stephen Gene Harrison Sr. of 1080 Collins Drive, Williamston, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at Martin General Hospital in Williamston.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, with pastor John Keeter, Jay Hardison and Patrick Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Harrison was born in Martin County on Nov. 4, 1940. He was the son of the late John Dennis and Doris Bullock Harrison. He was married to Joyce Moore Harrison, who survives. He was retired from Carolina Telephone Co. He was a member of Maple Grove Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie Berry of Roper; three sons, Stevie Harrison Jr. of Winterville, Keith Harrison of Cary and Patrick Harrison of Washington; one brother, Johnny Michael Harrison of Wendell; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the home.
