Mr. Frank Phelps Sr. of Plumblee Nursing Center, Plymouth, died Saturday, October 18, 2008, at the nursing center.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Creswell with the Rev. James H. Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Phelps was born July 1, 1931, in Washington County. He was the son of the late Georgeann Leigh and the late Robert Phelps. He was employed in farming.
Survivors include one son, Frank Rawls Jr. of Creswell; three daughters, Pollie Liverman, Vanessa Brown and Hattie Gatlin, all of Creswell; one brother, Bobby Phelps of Creswell; three sisters, Lula Owens of Columbia, Emma Leigh of Creswell and Ella Smack of Delaware; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Rowsom Funeral Home in Columbia.
