Solomon “Sol” Gibbs

Mr. Solomon Gibbs of 529 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at Beaufort County Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at House of Prayer Deliverance Ministries with Pastor Lewis Glaspie officiating. Burial will follow in Whitfield &Whitley Cemetery.
Mr. Gibbs was the son of the late Luther and Addie Savage Gibbs born on Nov. 22, 1943. He attended P.S. Jones High School. He was married to Evonda S. Gibbs who survives. He was a member of House of Prayer Deliverance Ministries.
Survivors include three sons, Solomon Gibbs Jr. of Pineknot, Ky., Charlie D. Gibbs of Washington and Hassan Tucker of Bronx, N.Y.; two sisters, Evelyn Jones of Atlanta, Ga., and Mable Gibbs of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two brothers, Luther Gibbs Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, and Nathaniel Gibbs of Washington and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Leon Randolph Memorial Chapel and other times at the home.
