Mr. Kenneth Wayne Foy, Sr., age 64, a resident of 501 E. Main St., Washington, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at his home.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in the Brown Chapel and will be conducted by Rev. A. Donald Wiesner. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Mr. Foy was born in Onslow Co. on April 18, 1944 to the late Robert and Minnie Jones Foy. He married Mary Anne Nunnally on September 19, 1998 who survives. Mr. Foy was a graduate of Jones Co. High School and was employed in the retail business most all of his life, working for Maola Ice Cream Co. in New Bern, Jacksonville and Greenville, Harris Supermarket in Greenville and Jeffery’s Beer and Wine until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife Mary Anne Foy of the home, two daughters, Tina Foy Cox of Greenville, Jennifer Foy Holloman and husband Mike of Grimesland; one son, Kenneth “Kete” Wayne Foy, Jr. of Greenville; one step-daughter, Katie D. Barkley and husband Christopher of Raleigh; one brother, James Foy of Jackson, TN; one grandson, Robert Charles Cox II and one sister-in-law, Carol M. Nunnally of Garner. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Foy and David Foy and one sister, Carolyn Yates.
