Mrs. Lillie Warren Seay, 92, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, Va.
Mrs. Seay, a native of Martin County, spent her youth in Greenville. In 1940, she moved to Newport News, Va., where she worked for the Crown Fastener and Zipper Company for 17 years. In 1968, she moved from Virginia to Beaufort County where she and her husband operated the Mid-Way Grocery. She returned to Pitt County in 1976 and lived in the Pactolus community and had worked at Hudson’s Sewing Room for a number of years.
Mrs. Seay was preceded in death by her parents, Alligood and Lydia Bailey Warren; her husbands, William Morrisette and Thomas R. “Dick” Seay; and two sons, Frederick L. Morrisette and John W. Morrisette.
Survivors include a daughter, Marian Morrisette of the home; four sons, Don R. Warren Sr., Warren Morrisette, Gene Seay, all of Pactolus, and Terry Seay of Franklin, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
