Mr. Gene Howard Bryant, 54, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A memorial service will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Mt. Mariah AME Zion Church.
Mr. Bryant was born in Tyrrell County on Jan. 19, 1954. He was the son of Barbara Basnight of Columbia and Alonza Bryant of Nags Head. He had worked as a carpenter at Weed Craft.
Survivors include two sons, Gene M. Moore and Rondell Bryant, both of Columbia; two daughters, Elizabeth Bryant and Ariana Bryant, both of Columbia; four brothers, Alonza Bryant Jr. of Manteo and Jimmy W. Bryant, Mark Bryant and Michael Bryant, all of Columbia; three sisters, Darlene Bryant of Manteo and Terri Page and Dawn Bryant, both of Columbia; and 10 grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Rowsom Funeral Home, Columbia.
