Mr. Marshall G. Manning, 71, of 717 Mill Hole Road, Washington, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Alligood Church of God with pastor Phillip Jethro officiating.
Mr. Manning was born in Martin County on April 3, 1937. He was the son of the late James Garfield Manning and Annie Louise Weatherbee Manning. He was married to the former Sarah Ellen Clarke, who survives. He lived most of his life in Beaufort County. He worked as a set-up person for Singer Furniture until his retirement. He was a member of Alligood Church of God.
Survivors include four daughters, Debra Cannon of Chocowinity, Angela Riggs of Washington, Kimberly Bundy of Greenville and Tina Little of Everetts; one brother, James Manning of Greenville; one sister, Carolyn; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday at Alligood Church of God following the memorial service.
