Mrs. Allie Mae Curtis Hopkins, 94, of 1097 James St., Parmele, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Williamston Rehabilitation Center.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Biggs Chapel in Robersonville with the Rev. Rod Dorn officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hopkins was born Dec. 10, 1913, in Martin County, daughter of the late Mack Gilbert Wynne Sr. and Flossie Mae Leggett. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Gwarek of Reidsville; four sons, James Curtis of Parmele, Richard Curtis of Robersonville, Stanley Curtis of Williamston and Mike Curtis of Hamilton; seven stepchildren, Maverene Manning, Barbara Peaks, Annie Faye Whitfield, Mamie Hoffer and Jerry, Jimmy and Mitchell Hopkins; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Biggs Funeral Home in Robersonville and other times at the home of James Curtis in Parmele.
