Mr. Wiley Wilson Warren, 75, of 1616 Lizard Slip Road, Washington, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Beaufort County Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens with Dr. James A. Moore, Jr. officiating. Stuart Wilson Warren, Jaret Wilson Warren, Sonny Smith, Warren Boyd, David Warren and Mike Jackson will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the funeral hour at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington and other times at the home.
Mr. Warren was born July 9, 1933 in Beaufort County. He was the son of the late Henry Edward Warren and Lida Lee Woolard Warren. On February 8, 1956, he married the former Virginia Spain. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a painting contractor and a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Spain Warren; his son, Don Wilson Warren and his wife, Denise Williams Warren of Washington; two grandsons, Stuart Wilson Warren and his wife, Stephanie Moore Warren of Washington, and Jaret Wilson Warren of Washington; one great-grandchild, Raley Page Warren; three sisters, Lillian W. Smith of Havelock, NC, Inez W. Johnson of Newport News, VA, and Patsy W. Boyd and Darlaine W. Cieszko, both of Washington; and one brother, John Henry Warren of Newport News, VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph L. Warren.
