WINTERVILLE — Mrs. Loretta “Pete” Mills Nelson, 83, died Thursday, November 27, 2008.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Nelson, a native of the Chocowinity community of Beaufort County, lived most of her adult life in Winterville, where she was a member of the Winterville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, George Franklin Nelson in 1999, a brother, Marvin L. Mills, and two sisters, Ruby M. Mooring and Mamie Ruth Beddard.
She is survived by her: sons, Frank Nelson and wife, Pat, and Jeffrey Nelson and fianc/, Juana, all of Winterville; sisters, Viola M. Mooring, of Snow Hill, Annie Myrtle Warren, of Chocowinity, and Doris M. Bonner and husband, Loma, Ayden.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nelson, 554 Tabard Rd., Winterville.
