Mrs. Iva Lane Roberson Kinion, 78, of Edenton, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Greenville.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Macedonia Christian Church with Greg Sexton officiating.
Mrs. Kinion was born in Beaufort County on Jan. 18, 1930. She was the daughter of Hoyt and Rebecca Leggett Roberson. She married James Albert Kinion in 1956 who preceded her in death Sept. 25, 2006. She was retired as a guidance counselor with the North Carolina public school system. She was a member of Edenton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Wyn Kinion of Williamston and Ken Kinion of Raleigh; one sister, Eleanor “Brownie” Everett of Bryan, Texas, and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Wyn Kinion, 2371 W. Bear Grass Road, Williamston.
