Ms. Grace Jordan Ange, 88, of 948 Pender Road, Hertford, and formerly of Kinston and Washington, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, in Chowan Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Snug Harbor Community Church, Hertford.
Ms. Ange was born in Carteret County, the daughter of the late Richard Ernest and Emma Aldred Jordan. She retired as a cashier with the former Home Security Insurance, now People’s Security Insurance Co. She was a member of the Bethel Home Extension Club and the Perquimans County Senior Citizens Club choir. She was a member of Snug Harbor Community Church, Hertford.
Survivors include one daughter, Jacqueline Smith Hobbs of Hertford; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
