Mrs. Mary Evelyn Rogers Mizelle, 69, of 3171 Brown Road, Jamesville, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Cedar Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Matthew Fahy officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery.
Mrs. Mizelle was born in Martin County on June 23, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Eli Daniel Rogers and Mildred Long Rogers. On June 24, 1957, she married Earl Mizelle, who survives. She worked in the cafeteria of Williamston Primary School until her retirement. She was a member of Cedar Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, David Earl Mizelle of Jamesville; two daughters, Theresa Ann Copeland and Evelyn Hope Gibson, both of Jamesville; three sisters, Violet Brown of Williamston and Faye Lyle and Carolyn Alexander, both of Plymouth; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Cedar Branch Baptist Church and other times at the home.
