Mrs. Selma Little Wilkins, 94, of 810 N. Respess St., Washington, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Beebe Memorial C.M.E. Church, Washington, with the Rev. Edward Moultrie Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mrs. Wilkins was born in Pitt County on July 15, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Della Clemmons Little. She attended the Pitt County Schools. Her employment was with June Roberson and the late David Roberson and also the George A. Roberson Jr. family. She was married to Samuel Abner Wilkins Jr., who preceded her in death. She was a member of Beebe Memorial C.M.E. Church, Washington.
Survivors include one son, Anthony “Tony” Wilkins of Washington and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Samuel “Chico” Wilkins III, three brothers, four sisters and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the home of her granddaughter, Gloria Simpkins, 301 Washington St., Washington.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
