Mrs. Barbara L. Lodge of 945 Magnolia School Road, Washington, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at Beaufort County Medical Center in Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. David Ollison officiating. Burial will follow in St. Delight Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Lodge was born Feb. 18, 1941, the daughter of Willie R. and Margie Satterthwaite Satchell. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. She was married to Charles H. Lodge, who survives.
Survivors include three daughters, Thelma Moore, Shertta Moore and Sandra Radlled, all of Washington; two sons, Charles Lodge Jr. and Chris Lodge, both of Washington; two sisters, Doris Satchell of Washington and Louette S. Slade of Bath; three brothers, Herman Satchell and James N. Satchell, both of Washington, and John H. Satchell of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8 p.m. at Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington, and other times at the home.
