Moon, Lucius Wayne (SGTMAJ, USMC-Ret.), 78, of Seffner, FL, formerly of Washington, NC, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009. Wayne retired after 30 years in the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his son, Nolan Dean Wayne Moon and is survived by his wife, Stephanie; daughter, Cynthia Pittman, Washington, DC; son, Michael Wayne Moon, Pinetown, NC; 2 step-sons, Kenneth and Dale Peterson, both of Plant City, FL; step-daughter, Lorie Miller, Zephyrhills, FL; 2 brothers, Herbert C. Moon, Santa Ana, CA and Marvin H. Moon, Lisbon Falls, ME; sister, Jacquelin Hollingsworth, Tuscaloosa, AL; 11 grandchildren, Jessica, Cory and Shaun Moon, Thomas M. Williams, Mack H. Williams, IV, Emily, Hugh, Maggie, Tyler James and Cole Peterson and Santana McIlhenny and 4 great-grandchildren, Meghan V. Williams, Loris Williams, Ryan James Nelson and Sophie Mae Peterson. A Memorial Service will be held in Brandon, FL. Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
