Mrs. H. Polly Fyle, 83, a former resident of 351 Jones Bridge Road, Pinetown, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Britthaven of Washington.
A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2009, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Woodrow Freeze officiating.
The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington.
Mrs. Fyle was born August 25, 1925 in Beaufort County. She was the daughter of the late William T. Windley and Katie Radcliff Windley. She was married to her husband of 62 years, Samuel Leon “Lee” Fyle, Sr. She graduated from Bath High School and retired as a typist with Elliot Addressing Company in 1955. She was a member of Free Union Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel “Lee” Fyle; two sons, William T. Fyle and wife, Christy of Wilson, NC and Samuel L. Fyle, Jr. and wife, Sandra of Darlington, SC; one sister, Erma Dean Paul of Moyock, NC; eight grandchildren, Adam T. Fyle, Matt Fyle, Brad Fyle, Samantha Fyle, Trey Fyle, Katie Fyle, Amanda Fyle, and Tommy Fyle; one great-grandchild, Ryder Fyle and one sister-in-law, Marina Windley.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George T. Windley and Nathan T. Windley; one sister, Rosa Lee Tetterton.
