Mrs. Ruby Jarvis Ireland, 87, of Aurora, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Bayview Nursing Center in New Bern.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in South Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Privette officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ireland was married to Colon C. Ireland of New Bern, who survives.
Survivors include two daughters, Robin Ireland Deal of Apex and Joyce Ireland Corrieri of Goldsboro; one sister, Joyce J. Zelinsky of Chesapeake, Va.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at South Creek Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Community Care Hospice, 1319 Glenburnie Road, New Bern, NC 28560 or Aurora Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 277, Aurora, NC 27806.
