Iola Deaver Haddock, 60, of The Villages, Florida, died Monday, January 26 at her residence.
She was born December 11,1948 in Washington, North Carolina. She moved here in 2004. She has lived here since 2004.
Occupations: She retired in 1998 from her position as Administrative Officer with UNC Hospital Systems in Chapel Hill, NC after 30 years of service.
She was a graduate of Washington High School in 1967 and from King’s College, Charlotte, NC, in 1969. Member of DAR, the NC Genealogy Society, and the retired NC State Employees Assn. She enjoyed growing orchids, was an avid golfer, a hospice volunteer, and enjoyed traveling with her husband of 36 years.
She never met a stranger, and was a friend and inspiration to many, many people, all of whom will greatly miss her.

The charities that were close to her heart were Ronald McDonald House in Chapel Hill, NC, the Guide Dog Foundation, and the Crossnore School in Crossnore, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the above charities or to a charity of your choice.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory of Lady Lake, Florida.
A celebration of life ceremony will take place at a later date.
