Miss Doris Mae Harris, 87, of Greenville died Monday, Feb. 09, 2009.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Miss Harris, a native of Pitt County, was a graduate of Winterville High School. For more than 20 years, she lived in Washington, where she worked at McClellan’s five-and-dime store and at Charles Department Store. She lived in Norfolk, Va., for a number of years, returning to Greenville in 1979. She worked for Service America at Empire Brushes and in the canteen at Union Carbide. She lived in University Towers for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her sisters, Jennette H. Braswell of Washington, Lilly H. Mosley of Buffalo, N.Y., and Dallas H. Campbell of Greenville.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
