Mr. Anthony “Tony” Franklin, a resident of Pamlico Plantation, Washington, NC, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.
Tony was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 25, 1935, son of Helen M. Perskin of Brooklyn, NY and Edwin M. Franklin of Nashville, TN. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Tony is survived by his wife Margaret “Peg” Franklin, sons; Christopher Franklin and wife Cate of Montville, NJ and Andrew Franklin and wife Vauntina of Ashland, MA, and grandchildren; Margaret and Matthew Franklin.
Private memorial services are being planned.
