Mr. Willard Blonnie Kinnion, age 79, a resident of 1452 Durham Creek Road, Blounts Creek, died Thursday, February 12, 2009 at his home.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Warren Memorial Cemetery, Hwy 33, Blounts Creek, conducted by Pastor David Linton.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Russell Warren, Brian Warren, Dalton Bennett, Kyle Burgess, Mayhew Banks, Beau Bey.
Mr. Kinnion was born in Beaufort County on October 28, 1929. He was the son of the late Willard Harold Kinnion and Mary Lyle Tuten Kinnion. Mr. Kinnion served in the U.S. Army. On August 28, 1958 he married the former Clydie Faye Wainwright who survives. He was a retired mill operator at PCS in Aurora. Mr. Kinnion worked as a commercial fisherman as long as his health permitted. He was a member of the Edward Christian Church, the National Rifle Association and former member of the Blueberry Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife, Clydie Faye Wainwright Kinnion of the home; one son, Jesse Harold Kinnion and his wife, Carol of Blounts Creek; two grandsons and granddaughters in law, Jason Donald Kinnion and Danielle of Charlotte, Kevin Michael Kinnion and Alicia Deans of Blounts Creek; great grandson, Kevin Michael Kinnion, Jr.; and two brothers, Harold Randolph Kinnion of Blounts Creek, James Cleon Kinnion of Georgia. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kinnion was preceded in death by a brother, William Earl “Billy” Kinnion.
