Theodore J. “Ted” Dix, 63, of Mechanicsville, Va., passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughters, Tammy D. Caton and her husband, Mike of Washington, N.C., Teri D. Dix and Tiffany D. Dix; two grandchildren, Hannah and Jared Caton; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Mundle; two sisters, Anne Chaney and Sylvia Gillenwater; brother, Tommy Dix; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd., Mechanicsville, Va., where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with burial following at Washington Memorial Park.
