Mrs. Debra Virginia Cooper Holloway, 66, of 731 W. Third St., Washington, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Beaufort County Medical Center in Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Word of Life Worship Center, Washington, with Bishop Clyde Felton officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Holloway was born in Hyde County on July 19, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Ruby Cooper Sr. and Sarah Gibbs Cooper. She attended the Hyde County Schools. She was married to Hallie “Junior” Holloway, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Ruth Moore of Blounts Creek and Deborah Yvonne Holloway of North New Brunswick, N.J.; four sons, Anthony Earl Holloway, Matthew Holloway, Hallie Holloway III and Rufus Darnell Holloway, all of Washington; one brother, Ruby Cooper Jr. of Washington and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Maude Harris and one brother, Brightie Cooper.
The family will receive friends at the home. The body will be placed in the church at noon Saturday.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
