Mrs. Permella Channel Norman, 94, of 41 Folly Road, Plymouth, died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Macedonia AME Zion Church with the Rev. William White officiating. Burial will follow in Norman family cemetery.
Mrs. Norman was born in Washington County on April 5, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Sarah Davenport Channel. She was married to Raleigh Norman Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a member of Macedonia AME Zion Church.
Survivors include one son, Raleigh Norman Jr. of Plymouth; one daughter, Shirley Howell of Plymouth; two sisters, Mereline Moses and Sarah Rozier, both of Mount Vernon, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Macedonia AME Zion Church and other times at the home of her daughter, 3-C Olde Towne Apts., Plymouth.
