Mrs. Mary Frances Hadley Beacham, 92, a resident of the Vintage Inn, Williamston, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, with the Revs. Dolan Baker and Greg Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Beacham was born in Martin County on Nov. 3, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Weeks Parker and Clementine Rogerson Hadley. She was married to Carl Lee Beacham Sr., who preceded her in death. She was the owner/operator of Friendly Beauty Shop in Washington for 34 years. She was a member of Macedonia Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sophia Carter and Millie Prettman, both of Williamston; one son, Carl Lee Beacham of Williamston; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the home of her son, 4634 Joe Mobley Road, Williamston.
