Mr. Lewis Aaron Peel

Mr. Lewis Aaron Peel, age 83, of 3950 Hwy 17 S, Williamston, NC passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Beaufort County Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2009 at Macedonia Christian Church, Williamston with Greg Sexton and Dolan Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Tice Cemetery in the Farm Life Community. Aaron Gray Peel, Jr., Joseph E. Peel, Seth K. Wilson, Troy Revels, Ernie Harrison and Bob Lee Perry will serve as pallbearers. Billy Peel, Shelton Peel, Henry Peel, WT Perry, Jim Perry, Ricky Perry and Simon Perry will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. this evening, in the Fellowship Hall at Macedonia Christian Church, US Highway 17, Williamston and at other times at the home of Ken and Ann Wilson, 1660 Arthur Corey Road, Williamston.
Mr. Peel was born August 26, 1925 in Martin County to Lewis Henry and Malinda Griffin Peel. He attended Farm Life School. On January 25, 1947 Aaron was married to Eleanor Perry who survives. He was self-employed as a cabinet maker and lived his entire life in the Farm Life Community in Martin County. He was a Deacon at Macedonia Christian Church and a charter member of the Old Mill Ruritan Club. Aaron had a tremendous love for “America’s Game,” baseball, umpiring High School games.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Ann Peel Wilson and husband Ken of Williamston; one son, Aaron Gray Peel and his wife Linda of Bethel; five grandchildren, Mary Katherine Wilson, Beth Wilson, Seth Wilson, Aaron Peel, Jr. and Joe Peel; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Peel was preceded in death by one brother, William H. Peel; and two sisters, Tillie Gray Grimes and Betty Peel Gurkin.
