Judy Waters, age 71, of 518 Water Road, Washington, died Monday, April 20, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Athens Chapel Church of Christ with Kent Gurganus officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2009 in the Fellowship Hall of Athens Chapel Church of Christ, 3407 NC 92 Hwy E, Bath.
Judy was born March 9, 1938 in Rome NY to the late Theodore and Mildred Lewin. She married Linwood Earl Waters, her husband of 41 years, who preceded her in death, June 26, 1999. Judy was a member of Athens Chapel Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother and granny to everyone.
Survivors include her daughter, Jan Waters of Greenville, NC and son, Lenny Waters and wife Janet, of Washington; a sister Carol Fanning of NY and brother, Rich Lewin of NY; four grandchildren, Crystal C. Modlin and husband Justin, with two boys Tyler and Landon and a baby girl due in August, Heather Toler and three children, Melanie, Joey and Shane, Erin Waters Cutler and husband John Scott, and Linwood “Lin” Earl Waters III.
