Mr. Cecil Wood Davis, 68, of 421 Bank St., Roper, died Friday, May 16, 2009. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, at Union Chapel Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), Roper. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Puckett-Purkett Memorial Chapel, Roper.
