The Carolina Stallions will take on the Durham Rattlers at J.G. “Choppy” Wagner Stadium on Saturday, June 20.
The game will kick off at 6 p.m.
The Stallions,  located in Rocky Mount, are a member of the Colonial Football Alliance.  Many of the players reside in the Washington area, including Fred Cobb, Derrick Norfleet and Phonzie Gibbs.
Tickets are $10 day at the gate.
Washington Racquet Club Summer Clinics
Washington Racquet Club will begin its summer clinics the week of June 15.  WRC will be offering beginner clinics/lessons for juniors aged 10 and under as well as 11-14 year of age.  The 10 and under beginners clinics will be Monday/Wednesdays from 9-10 a.m. and the 11-14 Beginner clinics will be 11 a.m. to noon Monday/Thursdays.  The cost will be $125/4 week session or $240 for the summer (June 15-Aug. 9).

Soccer strength and conditioning camp
Washington High School soccer coach Jimmy Kozuch will be holding his third annual Soccer Strength and Conditioning Camp from June 22-25, and July 7-10, from 8 11 a.m. on the WHS campus. The camp is specifically designed to improve the overall fitness and skill level of all athletes.
The first half of each day will be spent on cardio respiratory conditioning. The goal of this portion will be to make athletes faster, stronger and more explosive. The second half of the camp will be working on ball control and fine-tuning the skills needed to play at a higher level
These camps will be open to any athlete, boy or girl, who is interested in playing at the junior varsity or varsity level in the near future. All athletes will be pushed to their limits. Only the strong will survive.

Seahawks volleyball camps
Southside High School volleyball will be hosting two camps for volleyball this summer.  5th &6th graders – July 6-9, and 7th &8th graders July 13-16 at Southside High School gym. Rising 7th graders can register for both camps if they like. Each camp will run from 6:00pm to 7:30pm nightly.  The cost of camp is still only $25. Optimist Club soccer camp
The Optimist Club of Washington is hosting a soccer camp July 13-16 from 6-8:30 p.m. for ages 4-13 (current age) at the Susiegray McConnell Sports Complex.  It is a fund raiser for High School Soccer Teams.  The camp will be Directed by Southside High School Varsity Soccer Coach John Lohman with players from WHS and SHS.  Campers will be divided by age in small groups.  There will be lots of games, individual age group skills: dribbling, passing, kicking, offense, defense and game rules.  Registration is by mail and applications are available at www.optimistclubwashington.org.  The cost is $50 and includes training, insurance, t-shirt and refreshments.   Registration is going on now thru July 7.

Karate and Tae Kwon Do for youth
The Williamston Community Policing Program Karate, Tae Kwon Do and Martial Arts Youth Development Club summer registration will be held Saturday, June 20 at 11 a.m. at the Williamston Police Department Training Room (located in the rear end of the building) in Williamston.
The classes are sponsored by the Williamston Police Department and Chief Steve Smith through the community policing program.
The primary emphasis is on youth development, with self-defense being a by-product.
The classes are offered every Saturday morning for ten weeks. Boys and girls aged 5 to 15 are eligible. The fee for the session is $79, and includes a free $30 Karate uniform for each new student.
