Mr. James Perry Duncan, Jr. age 72, died Thursday July 9, 2009 at Britthaven of Washington.
A memorial service will be held 8 p.m. Saturday July 11, 2009 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Washington. The service will be officiated by Pastor Robert Worthington of the West Vanceboro Church of God.
Mr. Duncan was born in West Virginia on March 5, 1937, son of the late James Perry Duncan Sr. and Juanita Duncan. He was a mechanic and painter. On December 25, 1974, he married Mamie Ruth Duncan who survives.
In addition to his wife, Ruth of the home, he is survived by a son and daughter; a sister: Phyllis Pendergast of Havelock as well as four other sisters. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Mark Beamer for his care and concern.
The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Paul Funeral Home in Washington.
