On Friday evening July 17, 2009, Mrs. Emma Glaspie died at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, N.C.
She was born on July 10, 1934 to the late Sam and Lucinda Moore of Warsaw, N.C.
To rejoice and cherish her precious memories are 8 children, Emma L. Ogunbiyi of Bronx, New York, Minister Barbara G. Booth of Washington, Alice Faye Blount (Daren) of Washington, N.C., Dorothy M. Rogers of Washington, N.C., Mack W. Glaspie (Linda) of Washington, N.C., Pastor Lewis E. Glaspie (Deborah) of Washington, N.C., Eldress Marilyn L. Glaspie of Washington, N.C. One son preceded her in death, Calvin E. Glaspie (January 11, 1977). One brother, Robert E. Glaspie (Emma) of Warsaw, N.C., fourteen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be Wednesday July 22, 2009 at House of Prayer Deliverance Ministries, 315 Van Norden Street, Washington, N.C. from 7-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Word of Life International Ministry, 318 Pierce Street at 1 p.m. with Pastor Lewis Glaspie officiating.
Arrangements are by Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 West Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington.
